Get Ready to Have the Best Summer Ever!

What is the Bikes and Barnyards Summer Camp?

It’s a place where we’ve created opportunities for young people to learn and practice lessons in leadership, health, and wellness.  We also work to give a child the chance to experience achievement and environmental stewardship through bicycle-related education programs.

This camp can be for beginning to intermediate level cyclist between age 10 and 14 who loves to ride their bike and want to challenge themselves while learning new skills and having a blast; this is the summer camp for them! The 2017 Summer Bike Camp takes place during the week after school lets out and is about as much fun as you can possibly have on a bike.

We’ll meet at 07:45-8:00 AM and begin learning by 9:30 AM. Then we’ll wrap up the day and ready for pickup at 4:45 PM. Except for Thursday night!  That’s when we’ll spend the night in the park and camp under the stars.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

Bikes & Barnyards Proposed Schedule

Days begin with basic skills work such as shifting and braking, and progress to cornering, navigating obstacles and safe cycling before applying all of those new-found techniques on fun, single track trails and bike lanes.

Meet the Honeybees

After two days of learning, laughing, and riding, you will move to the farm of Abundance NC to learn the right way to mess around in the woods, be a good steward of the forest, ecosystems, and nature and, above all else, cooking. By Thursday you will ride to your heart’s content and camp under the stars while preparing a meal over the campfire. The hope is that you’ll never want to go a day without riding your bike again!

Open for Everyone

BikeCamp is $325 per camper. For families requesting a scholarship, please contact the organizers.
