Dare to be Your Greatest Self

Open the door to a world beyond what you imagine.

Champions aren't made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them

-a desire, a dream, a vision.

Muhammad Ali

I know where I'm going and I know the truth, and I don't have to be what you want me to be.

I'm free to be what I want.

Spoke’n Revolutions Summer Experience

The Spoke'n Revolutions Summer Experience is the amazing flagship program of Triangle Bikeworks that offers young people an incredible cross-country bike tour. This program provides an exciting adventure and an opportunity for self-discovery and building confidence in young individuals.

It's a life-changing experience that can open new doors and help them grow.

Through this program, young people learn new things, make lasting connections,

and create memories that will stay with them for a lifetime.

The Spring Excursion program is an exciting opportunity for people as young as middle school to explore new places and learn about themselves and their environment. The program involves biking through various locations in North Carolina while offering fun and educational outdoor experiences for young people who are looking for adventure.

With the help of experienced leaders and guides, young people can learn new skills, meet new friends, and gain confidence in themselves. By supporting this program, you help give young people an opportunity to explore and learn in a safe and supportive environment.

The TYMBR Wolves program is a unique initiative that focuses on providing adventurous mountain biking opportunities for young people. This program is designed to build a sense of community and teach young people valuable skills such as teamwork, communication, and goal-setting. By joining this program, young people develop their physical and mental abilities while exploring nature and having fun.

Triangle Bikeworks is a welcoming space for teens to cultivate their own adventures by connecting with peers, while experiencing real-life leadership and mentoring opportunities. The adventures promote teamwork, strengthens communication skills, deepens interpersonal responsibility and compassion, and heightens sensitivities to the natural environment. Participants will be able to transfer their experiences on the road to challenges faced while succeeding in life.

You ready to go deeper?

Through these adventures, youth will realize a deeper mental and physical strength, an increase in confidence, new leadership skills, and an appreciation for protected lands and outdoor environments.

F.A.Q.

Q: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Participation in Triangle Bikeworks programs are FREE.

We ask teens to seek community support to raise 35% of their participation costs.

Q: WHERE DO PRACTICE RIDES HAPPEN?

After school in local community, local roads and greenways.

Q: DO I NEED TO ALREADY OWN A BIKE?

If you have a road bike, great! If you don’t we’ll supply you with one.

Q: WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE EVERY TRAINING RIDE OR TEAM MEETING?

Ask yourself this: If I were on a basketball, football, soccer, lacrosse, or any other team and missed practice would I expect to play in the game? Commit yourself to us and we’ll commit to you.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS ON PRACTICE RIDES?

You participate in team rides in the countryside of the Triangle area of North Carolina to build camaraderie, stamina, and confidence on the bike, and get outdoors in your home community.

Q: DO I NEED TO WEAR SPECIAL BIKE CLOTHES?

Not necessarily. But we do suggest it. Clothing such as bike shorts help you in the ride. Bike style jerseys wick off sweat and dries much faster than cotton shirts. Also, cotton shirts can make you cold if the temperature suddenly drops.

Q: HOW ARE TOUR ROUTES CREATED?

Tour routes are created that inspire connection to the natural world that help teens develop an understanding of the impact that historical events have on the present.

Q: WHAT OTHER AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ARE THERE BESIDES PRACTICE RIDES?

Educational sessions on the social, historical and environmental subjects connected with our tours.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS ON TOUR?

The training, Excursions, and educational activities culminate in a 2-week-long, over 700-mile summer cycling tour based on culturally significant and historic routes.

You’ll average 55 miles a day (don't worry, you can do this), visit state and national parks, visit historic sites along the route, and camp most nights. You’ll participate in teamwork activities during the tour, such as:

  • rotation of campsite duties
  • writing and/or recording daily reflections from the day
  • participating in team round-tables, where you’ll share experiences in a safe and nonjudgmental setting.
